Again Boko Haram strikes, kill 7 in Adamawa

The terrorist group, Boko Haram strikes again in Adamawa state, killing seven people at Mildo community, in Madagali local government area of Adamawa state.

According to reports, the group which had been silent for the past couple of weeks attacked the community, leaving seven people dead and a host of others injured.

Residents of the area who were able to escape the onslaught said the dreaded group stormed the village around midnight Yesterday, 1st August 2017, and opened fire on people of the community who were mostly asleep. Houses and shops were also burnt down during the attack.

The terrorists accessed the town through the neighbouring village of Chakawa, captured seven men, and b3headed them. Madagali has been victim to numerous Boko Haram attacks in the past. The town was annexed in 2014 by Boko Haram, before it’s subsequent liberation by Nigerian soldiers in 2015.

This attack comes only days after army chief, Tukur Buratai announced that the Boko Haram sect had been totally defeated by the Nigerian Army. The army chief also proposed the hosting of the Nigerian Army Small Arms Championship in Sambisa forest – the alleged annex and operation center of Boko Haram – to celeberate the victory.

The injured victims are presently receiving treatment in various hospitals according to reports.
