The video of an unidentified Unilag student grinding the statue of former VC, Professor Sofoluwe, has been making rounds on social media, and Nigerians in their usual way have words for her, and those words are not so nice.
The video shows the young lady dancing to Mayorkun’s, Your Mama Born you Well Track. The girl was dangerously giving it to the statue of Prof. Adetokunbo Shofoluwe right in front of the University of Lagos Senate building. Without any hesitation, she was rocking, grinding and ‘whining‘ – as the singers say.
As always, Nigerians didn’t waste time to fire her with choice words. While some believed the girl was just having fun, and making light of the situation, Some other chill-less Nigerians had heavier words for her.
Some were quick to tag the presumed Unilag student with words such as ‘slut’, while others questioned her dignity and sanity.
Whether you are just having fun, or even want to showcase your ‘craze’ a little, always have it at the back of your mind that Nigerian social media has no get chill, and dem no mind take your head (or nyansh as the case may be) do berbeque anytime.
A word is enough for the wise.
