Apple Fans to Get Their Hands on New Apple TV This Week

Apple on Monday opened up advanced orders for the next generation of Apple TV, as promised. The set-top boxes are expected to hit homes between Oct. 30 and Nov. 3.

It's offering two versions of the Apple TV. A 32-GB version is priced at US$149 and a 64-GB model is $50 more.

The features most likely to stand out are voice control with Siri, apps, and the range of content that Apple has and will continue to assemble.

With Apple TV losing ground to newcomers to the streaming hardware market, namely Google and Amazon, the company has revisited its set-top box and given it a booster shot: a syringe containing Siri.

Siri, Apple's digital assistant, manifests in the form of the Apple TV's companion remote. It's the same helpful, politely realistic digital assistant iOS users have become familiar with over the years.

Along with Siri, the remote has been updated to include motion controls akin to Wii nunchucks. That led to speculation that Apple and Nintendo were preparing to start a gaming relationship.

While nothing with Nintendo has been announced, the other draw to Apple's latest streaming device is content, said Andy Abramson, CEO of Comunicano.

Then there's "same day as DVD releases, which underscores the arms race going on between Apple, Amazon and eventually Google," he told TechNewsWorld.

"Obviously, games also are going to have a lot of appeal, as they open up the Apple TV to be something for the entire family," Abramson said.

The market for streaming media hardware has filled out in short order over the last few years, expanding from Roku, the original Netflix player and Apple TV to Chrome and Fire and Nexus things.

Ahead of this latest refresh of the Apple TV, bringing it to its fourth generation, the company was rumored to be in talks with some of Hollywood's top brass, with hopes of delivering original content like Amazon and Google do.

Playing Catch-Up

With Siri being one of a few serious talking points for the Apple TV, Robert McCarthy, director of security engineering at Mobiquity, is unimpressed by the new set-top box.

"Color me disappointed," he told TechNewsWorld. "Maybe it's just me, but I see this as nothing but Apple being caught sleeping and now trying to play catch-up with the market."

It's going to have voice controls and a lot more games, but Amazon Fire TV has had that from the beginning, McCarthy pointed out. With accelerometers in countless smart things, the motion controls may fail to strike consumers as a stand-out feature.

"Overall, I think the new Apple TV fails to capture some of the revolutionary power that is happening with Apple Pay and iPhone 6S, and could readily be relegated to the bells and whistles bin," he said. "All in all, this feels just like your father's set-top box."
Missed Opportunities

Adding to his lack of interest are the things Apple TV is lacking, McCarthy said. For one, it doesn't support 4K resolution or high-dynamic-range imaging.

"Although it might not technically make much of a difference, from a marketing standpoint, the lack of 4K or HDR video support is confusing," he said. "The latest iPhones are producers of 4K video. Why is the latest TV product not a consumer of it?"

There also isn't any HomeKit integration, said McCarthy. That could tie into another area in which where Apple may have missed countless opportunities.

"A big chunk of their developer community may never work in this arena because they created yet another OS, called tvOS, that is a hybrid between OS X and iOS. I am sure there are reasons they had to do this, but it seems odd and will likely drive a further wedge into the developer community," he said.

Though the latest flavor of Apple's streaming hardware hasn't thrilled McCarthy, at least in the device's current form, it's hard to discount the "cult of Apple."
The Faithful: More Than a Few

Despite Apple's roped-off ecosystem, its new products historically have called consumers over from other platforms and, on many occasions, they've been converted to the cult.

"That's part of the Apple way of doing business," Comunicano's Abramson said. "If you look at what they did in music with the iPod, then in phones with the iPhone, how they are slowly changing the timekeeping world with the Apple Watch, with each new product they release, they redefine and become the comparative standard."

Because viewing habits have been changing, the appeal of the Apple TV will extend beyond consumers, he said. It will have an impact on the entire television industry, further forcing the hands of the established players.

"That's a lesson that is easily learned based on how iTunes changed the music industry," said Abramson, "and how the iPhone has changed the mobile phone and mobile operator industry."

Lagos shuts Marina mosque over pollution

Lagos State government, yesterday, declared zero tolerance for environmental nuisance in the state, even as it shut Marina Mosque, Lagos Island over poor sewage management.

While monitoring the October edition of the monthly sanitation exercise in Mainland and Lagos Island Local Governments, Commissioner for the Environment, Dr Samuel Adejare, added that any filthy market and motor park in the state would be shut indefinitely.

He noted that the declaration of zero tolerance for environmental nuisance in Lagos metropolis was to save the state from disaster resulting from unkempt environment.

His words “That is why we ordered the closure of the mosque for discharging effluent in the drainage. Marina is our pride, asset and our heritage. We cannot allow anyone to mess it up. This mosque is a temporary building for worship, but we cannot tolerate improper waste disposal.

“There is no emotional feeling attached to it. We cannot allow that in central Lagos. You can all see how they discharged their sewage on the road. Even God will not accept that and I will not allow that.”

The commissioner declared that the religious house violated the state environmental law, noting that any outfit that violates the environmental law would not be spared.

LADIES!!! 4 Ways To Prevent Your Breasts From SAGGING

There are changes you can make now to keep your breasts firm as long as possible. Every woman wants to have perfectly shaped breasts throughout her life.

Though saggy breasts usually starts happening after a woman reaches 40, it can occur earlier. Apart from age, other factors that cause sagging breasts include breastfeeding, pregnancy, menopause, rapid weight loss or gain, strenuous exercise, nutritional deficiencies and wearing a poorly fitting bra

Some diseases like breast cancer or respiratory conditions like tuberculosis can also cause breasts to sag. Also, excessive consumption of nicotine, alcohol and carbonated beverages can contribute to the problem.
A wide variety of creams and lotions are available on the market to tighten and tone up sagging breasts. However, if you prefer natural methods, to keep your breasts from sagging, then you’re on the right spot!.

•1:. Wear a Bra that suits your Breast.

If you want to wear a bra, it’s very important to make sure it fits correctly.

•2:. Always Wear a Bra when you Exercise.

Doing exercises that cause your breasts to bounce up and down, like kickboxing or running, can cause the breast ligaments to stretch. So, Its advisable to keep wearing your bra when you’re Exercising.

•3:. Stop smoking.

The skin on your chest is delicate, and it’s similar to the skin on your face. It’s easily impacted by chemicals in cigarettes that lead to the breakdown of collagen and elastin, which give skin its youthful look and texture. When your skin loses elasticity, it will start to sag. Eliminate the habit of Smoking, to keep your breasts looking younger and firm.

•4:. Protect your cleavage from the sun.

Ultraviolet rays from the sun can cause wrinkling and sagging in the breast area. The top of a person’s cleavage often gets extra sun exposure, due to the way many shirts and dresses are cut. The fragile skin there is more likely to get burned more often than other parts of the body. Use the same level of care to protect the skin on your breasts from sun damage as you would to protect the skin on your face. Also, avoid laying out in the sun

I couldn’t confess to my best friend I slept with his wife!

When Musibau came back from the US years back, the first person he got in touch with was Gboye, his friend of several years. I’d known them together even before they travelled abroad and when Musibau called that Gboye was throwing a welcome party for him, I gladly attended. Gboye’s wife, Rita, and the mother of their three  children, was the perfect hostess, she seemed to get on with Musibau, who she hadn’t met until his return.

When I asked Musibau what his plans were and where he was staying, Gboye cut in: “The silly man went to stay in the family home until his wife joins him with their children. I’ve told him it was a silly thing to do. The place is a bit dilapidated and crowded. First thing tomorrow, I’m moving him into the guest room. It would be a temporary arrangement. His wife is expected in a couple of months, and, until she arrives, he has a home with us.”

Rita beamed her approval and, when I cornered Musibau later on and asked him of the rationale behind his moving in with a married couple, he saw no problems at all. “You don’t understand,” he tried to assure me, “Gboye is not only my best mate, he’s like a blood brother. We went back a long way and we’d shared a lot of things in the past. We even lived together once with our girlfriends. No problem at all,” I shrugged. Who was I to put a spanner in any works? Musibau eventually moved in, and I’d seen him with his hosts at parties and they seemed to get on well.

Too well, if you’d asked me. When next I saw Musibau, it was at one of these fancy malls on the Island and he looked as if he was dying for a chat. “Why did you warn me against living with Gboye at my welcome party?”, he asked. Well, why did he want to know now? “I think Rita has the hots for me!” he said, not at all bragging. “My friend has turned into a home body but Rita is the swinging type.

Whenever Gboye refuses to go on an outing with her, she suggests taking me and Gboye instantly agrees. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching the TV late in the night when she joined me on the sofa. She couldn’t sleep, she said, and when the film got really steamy, she placed her hand on my thigh. ‘Do you like me at all?’ she asked. ‘Gboye is my best friend’, I reminded her. She simply got up, said good night with a full kiss on my lips!

I gulped but she’d disappeared to the bedroom. From then on, she gave me knowing looks, even when her husband was around. I became nervous. Rita is an extremely pretty woman but I have my pick of female friends. Only I dare not bring them home because of my friend—he’s a married man after all. I can’t wait for my wife to come back in a month’s time—she’ll save me from making a fool of myself. I shook my head sadly.

Trying to stop a scheming woman, I warned, was like trying to stop a charging vehicle with one hand. My warning came too late. I’d heard Musibau ‘s wife was back and I heaved a sigh of relief. At least, now, Rita would check her randy libido. “She’d already seduced me by the time my wife arrived”, Musibau told me sadly weeks later when he came visiting. “You’re the only one I can confide in.

“My Waterloo came the day Gboye had to travel to Abuja officially for a couple of weeks. As soon as he left, Rita virtually lunged at me. That night, she kissed me full on the lips again and I responded. She’d sent too much signal for me to remember any friendship that existed between Gboye and I. Soon we were at it, brushing the sheets off their bed. She felt really triumphant and for the next two weeks, she couldn’t keep her hands off me. I felt guilty, of course.

Luckily, when Gboye came back, we acted normal and he didn’t suspect a thing. Having gotten away with it, we grew more adventurous. We’d even had sex up against the sitting room door while Gboye slept. That way, if he tried to come in, we’d know about it first.

“But my wife smelt a rat as soon as she came back with our son. She hated Rita on sight and pointed to the fact that she was too familiar with me. She immediately arranged for us to move in with her parents. I’d earlier turned up my nose at living with my in-laws, but she threatened to tell Gboye if I refused to come with her. To be frank, I was enjoying the attention of two women but I love my wife too much to jeopardize my marriage.

So, we left our hosts and I had some peace of mind. When we eventually found a four-bedroom flat and had a house-warming, Rita brought bowls of food that my wife wanted to dump in the bin. I had to plead with her not to because of Musibau, the innocent one out of the nightmare. I thought I’d seen the end of my affair with Rita until the day she called and I told her my wife was with her parents because her aunt died.

“I was shocked to discover her at my door minutes after her phone call. When I let her in, puzzled, she started clawing at me, wanting sex. That was when I told her enough was enough. That I couldn’t make love to her in my own home with photos of my family staring at me from all corners of the room. She did not understand at all. If I could make love to her in her matrimonial home, why couldn’t we do the same in mine? I told her to beat it. She was so furious I was apprehensive she might do something rash.

“ A few days later, I was relaxing with a bottle of beer in front of the TV when my mobile bleeped a message: ‘Is it true you’re sleeping with Rita?’ It was from Gboye. I was still deciding on what to say when he drove up— we live a few minute’s drive from each other. He looked really ragged as he came in. ‘How could you?’, he howled, ‘my best friend?, after all I did for you?’

“He plunked himself on the nearest chair, his head in his hand and he was sobbing. I’d never seen him this unhappy before. Of course, I denied everything. Who did he think I was to sleep with a friend who’d meant so much to me? Did he realize that even my wife suspected the same thing and insisted we should all stop being so friendly.

Where did he hear of such nonsense? He then showed me a message on his mobile. I went cold as I read it:”If your wife hasn’t told you she’s sleeping with your best friend, then you ought to know: the sender had no name. A mischief maker? My wife”? Relieved that it wasn’t Rita that went confessing to her husband,’ I told him to forget the message. Had he confronted Rita? I asked him.

He said he had. That Rita was so indignant she insisted he came to me for reassurance. She even wanted to come with her husband to show how innocent she was but Gboye declined. “Phew! To be let off the hook that easily. Gboye told me he loved his wife and children and wouldn’t want his home to break. I assured him I would be the last person to do so. Didn’t I also have a family I cared so much about?

That sort of convinced him and I offered him a drink. I was hoping he would refuse. The state he was in, I didn’t want my wife to meet him in the house. But, he took up my offer. When my wife came in, she went to the kitchen and I pleaded with Gboye not to complicate things by telling her, that we must salvage what was left of the friendship we shared, and, to my relief, he agreed.

“If only I’d listened to you when you warned me I shouldn’t stay with Gboye. You know, even now when we run into each other, Rita still smirks? That girl is shameless. All I know now is that she’s a nymphomaniac. If it wasn’t me. It would be the next man. Only heavens know who she’s currently luring into her loins…”

Russian Plane Crashes In Sinai, Killing All 224 People On Board..

A Russian passenger plane has crashed early Saturday in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people aboard.

Russian state media reported that many of the 224 passengers on Kogalymavia Flight 9268 were Russians returning from vacation. The passenger manifest included 17 children but Russian officials said there were 25 aboard and seven crew members.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin tweeted that four victims were also Ukrainian nationals.

What caused the crash still is unknown, but it's most likely to be a technical failure, and there is no evidence of any terrorist action, Egyptian Airports Co. chief Adel Al-Mahjoob told CNN Arabic.

But express.co.uk is reporting that ISIS have claimed the attack, saying they are responsible for it via a twitter handle. See more photos below

Nigerian authorities should take note.

Emir Sanusi Strips Ado Bayero’s Son Of Title For Refusing To Pay Homage

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sunusi II, has stripped the eldest son of late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, Lamido Bayero, of his traditional title of Ciroman Kano and District Head of Gwale.
According to Premium Times, a few months after ascending the throne, Emir Sanusi wrote to Bayero asking him to return to his duty as Ciroman Kano and District Head of Gwale but he got no reply from the late former Emir’s son and neither did he report to the palace, which angered Sanusi.

“When a letter was written to him again, he neither responded nor appeared in person to explain his reasons. His Highness first reasoned that the local government of Gwale was too important to be left vacant, and so he elevated the son of Emir Inuwa to be the district head. And now the title of Ciroma is also stripped,” a top palace source said.

Emir Sanusi then appointed Lamido Bayero’s younger brother, Nasiru Bayero, to replace him as the new Ciroman Kano.

A statement by Galadiman Kano, Abbas Sunusi, said the removal and the subsequent replacement were with immediate effect. Mr. Bayero was touted to as the heir apparent of the Kano emirship throne but lost to the current emir, who was then holding a mid-cadre title of Dan Majen Kano.

Bayero was later appointed managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, by former President Jonathan but was removed by president Buhari.

Since losing the coveted seat to Emir Sanusi, Lamido has removed himself from Kano and now permanently lives in Abuja. He has also refused to pledge allegiance to the new emir as provided by the tradition.

Tupac Shakur who was supposedly killed at the age of 25 is now admitting he has been hiding this whole time.It was Shakur who in 1996 was reportedly attending a special event in Las Vegas, the Mike Tyson-Benson fight, and then afterwards was brutally murdered.

A day or so later he is autopsied, then quickly cremated. There is no funeral. Nor is there any record of a tribute or memorial. Now we know exactly why it was because Tupac Shakur was never killed it is unclear why he has been hiding.
He finally returned from Cuba after a long journey of 19 years and spoke to medias about all the time he was hiding, what he was doing there and much more..

This story is still under development but Tupac has already been spotted with Celebrities.
On Me Against the World, the 1995 album from Tupac Shakur, the prodigious rapper foretells his death. “I’m having visions of leaving here in a hearse/ God can ya feel me?/ Take me away from all the pressure/ and all the pain/ show me some happiness again,” he raps on “So Many Tears.” Eighteen months later, while riding in the passenger seat under the iridescent glow of the Las Vegas strip with Marion “Suge” Knight at the wheel, Tupac was gunned down and mortally wounded. Or was he?

Here’s how his death supposedly went down. Just past 11 p.m. on September 7, 1996, at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane (then just a few steps from the Maxim Hotel), Tupac and Knight were idle at a red light when a white Cadillac rolled up to the passenger side and opened fire. Tupac, whose career had been on a steep ascent since getting out of prison the year before, was hit four times; one bullet critically punctured his lung. Knight, for the most part, was unharmed.

A week later, on September 13, while on life-support in the critical care unit at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, the 25-year-old rap phenom died from internal bleeding.

The drive-by shooting was reported to be gang-related, spurred by a physical altercation involving Tupac, Knight, and Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, a Crip gang affiliate from Compton, the night of September 7. (A 2011 investigation by the FBI showed several threats were also made on the rapper’s life by the Jewish Defense League).

Dr. Ed Brown, the Clark County coroner investigator, determined Tupac’s death a homicide. ” I found no apparent life signs,” he detailed in his report, “and trauma was observed to the right hand, right hip and right chest under the right arm, apparently caused from gunshots.” Tupac was pronounced dead at 4:03 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 1996.

But if the old saying is true, legends never truly die—perhaps quite literally in Tupac’s case.

The Most Common Questions Surrounding Tupac’s Death
The picture above, said to be the last photo taken before the shooting, raises two interesting questions: If Tupac was shot on 9/7/96, why does the photo indicate it was taken on 9/8/96?
Why are there no keys in the car’s ignition?
14 shots were fired, four of which hit Tupac. Knight, who is a considerably large man (around 6’4, 260 pounds) was not hit once. He was said to have sustained minimal injures from bullet fragments, but no serious wounds were recorded. Did Knight mastermind the shooting? (Believe what you will, but nobody’s luck is that good.)
Since being shot at Quad Recording Studios on November 30, 1994, Pac wore a bullet-proof vest almost everywhere. It seems odd, on such a high profile night, that he’d forego protection.
The BMW from the photo does not match the BMW from the police investigation video.
The shooters were never found. As one former Outlawz member noted in a 2014 National Geographic documentary that explored Tupac’s still unsolved murder, “This is America. We found Bin Laden.” So why has it been so difficult to find the men who shot Tupac? What are the police not telling us?

The streets of Las Vegas are typically jam-packed—with an assortment of cars, people, and entertainers trying to earn a living. Tupac was shot two hours after the Mike Tyson/Bruce Seldon fight, and the streets, the strip especially, were likely congested with traffic that night. And yet, nobody spotted the white Cadillac?

The official coroner’s report lists Tupac as 72 inches tall (6 feet) and 215 pounds. But the rapper’s driver’s license identifies him as 5’10 and 168 pounds.

Afeni Shakur (Tupac’s mother) and medical staff are the only people who saw the rapper once he was admitted into the hospital. Years later, in a video interview, Afeni says, “In the end, he chose to leave quietly.” What did she mean by “leave quietly”? Was she implying Tupac had a hand in his removal from the spotlight?

Tupac was reportedly cremated, and the man who cremated him retired after doing so. He has not been seen since, which, at the very least, is a little suspicious.

Since Tupac’s death, seven albums have been released under his name, more than when he was alive. (All the tracks were said to be recorded before his death, but that seems questionable at best.)
So, Is Tupac Really Dead?

If we are to follow the reasoning provided by the above Yahoo message board user (we are!), then certain developments within the last few months add up perfectly.

Here are some facts:
In December 2014, President Obama restored “full diplomatic relations with Cuba,” easing “restrictions on remittances, travel and banking” between the US and Cuba.

Tupac’s aunt is Assata Shakur, the political activist and former Black Liberation Army member who escaped prison and fled to Cuba after she was convicted for the 1977 murder of a New Jersey State Trooper. She has been living in Cuba since 1984, where she was granted political asylum.

Kendrick Lamar’s new album To Pimp a Butterfly, released March 16 (1 + 6 = 7!) of this year, features a conversation between the two rappers on the final track, “Mortal Man.”
Powerade’s new “Rose From Concrete” campaign uses Tupac’s vocals.

You’re thinking, what does all of this have in common? Tupac’s continued existence on this earth.

Proof Tupac Is Alive (and Most Likely Living in Cuba)

Tupac was the consummate rap artist: overflowing with steely bravado, wildly intelligent, beloved by those who knew him best, and lyrically assertive and self-aware on tape. A platinum-selling political provocateur, he was a true rap iconoclast. His legend, even before the night of September 7, was already written into the history books. He was, as Vibe editor Alan Light said in November 1996, the only rapper who “had come to embody all contradictions and confusion that have grown up around hip-hop.”

Pac was a public enigma—a man you could never grasp completely, even as he stood right in front of you. “[H]is life was about juggling plums while bullets nipped at his ankles,” Danyel Smith wrote in the introduction to the 1997 book, Tupac Shakur. “It was about defiance, women, paranoia, ego, and anger—and going out in a blaze of what he imagined to be glory.” No musical artist—not Jay Z, Eminem, or Kanye West—has captured the attention of the public quite like Tupac, who played both villain and hero with a certain tattooed aplomb. Even now, he is your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper (see: Kendrick Lamar). So it is understandable, maybe even expected, that fans believe Tupac, arguably the biggest cultural and artistic force of the last 25 years, is still alive. Not even bullets could stop this larger-than-life man.

So, my theory: Overwhelmed by fame and seeking “happiness again” (as he yearned for on “So Many Tears”), Tupac faked his death and fled to Cuba to stay with his aunt, Assata. Free from the reach of American media and 90’s rap beef, Tupac knew he’d be safe and go mostly undetected in the one place the US government wanted nothing to do with.

As the rapper began to re-emerge last year—anticipating Obama’s move to open diplomatic channels to Cuba before the end of his presidency—Tupac put monetary safeguards in place. After 18 years away, the rapper’s funds were nearly depleted, so he sold audio rights to Interscope (the label that released Lamar’s album) and Coca-Cola (the company that owns Powerade) to ensure his financial survival. It all makes perfect sense, really.

As more details have emerged in the last decade, fans and conspiracy theorists have scrutinized September 7, 1996 and the series of events surrounding the shooting with greater resolve. Maybe celebrity really was too much to bear, many have speculated, and Tupac faked his death (In a 2012 radio interview, Knight suggested that Tupac was still alive. “Nobody seen Tupac dead,” he said). Maybe the police are covering up some bigger truth none of us can handle. Or maybe it was Knight who masterminded the attack, hoping to profit from the rapper’s passing. Whatever the answer, one certainty persists: the night’s events did not happen as we’ve long been told.
