Drama as young man claims Tor Tiv’s seat

There was a mild drama at the JS Tarka Stadium, Gboko, venue of the coronation ceremony of the Tor Tiv, Ochivirigh Prof. James Ayatse when a young man of about 24 years old who was identified as Stephen Aondona Nyitse beat the heavy security  at venue of the coronation and proceeded to seat on the chair prepared for the new Tor Tiv.

As soon as he secured the seat, Nyitse sat comfortably on the Tor Tiv’s seat and crossed his legs before someone drew the attention of security men to the development which prompted some youths to descend on him and manhandled him.

While Nyitse’s action had perplexed everyone including all the dignitaries in attendance, security operatives promptly moved to the scene and whisked him away just as the state Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Mike Angou quickly moved to the revered seat and prayed and anointed the seat.

When asked why he did what he did, the young man who claimed to hail from Ushongo Local Government Area of the state said it was the Spirit of God that led him to sit on the throne adding that anyone who dared to beat him would regret it.
