Charlie Puth has dropped the name of his upcoming soph0m0re album!
The 25-year-old singer made the announcement during his performance on the Today show’s Citi Concert Series on Friday morning (June 30) at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
“[It’s] going to be called Voice Notes, and the reason why is because every song came about from the Voice Notes app on my iPhone,” Charlie explained. “That’s why you hear at the end of the ‘Attention’ music video [recreates sounds from the song].”
“I’m really bad at writing music notes down,” he added. “That’s one of the classes I was really bad at at school, but when I have an idea, I just record it on my phone and then go to the studio and then kind of just break it down.”
The album is due out this fall, but Charlie said he might tease some of the new songs while on tour with Shawn Mendes this summer!
Charlie also took the stage to belt out his hits “Attention,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” “One Call Away,” and new track “Suffer.”
