Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has been trending on twitter.
The school staff and student took to their open ground in nice attire, frying ‘akara’ (baked beans), to celebrate the suspension of its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole.
Prof. Olusola Oyewole was last week suspended by the federal government over series of petitions bothering on alleged maladministration and financial malpractices.
Prof. Olusola was described by the staff as an authoritarian.
Reacting to the suspension, the chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU FUNAAB), Rotimi Fasuwon said Oyewole’s exist “is end to tyranny in FUNAAB. Honestly, we have every course to have this party.
We experienced a period of authoritarian leadership that has never been in the over 20years existence of this university.”
