#BBNaija Uriel is the new face of La Mode magazine and the Big Brother star is finally opening up about her rise to fame.
Writing on her Instagram, the ex-housemate whose full name is Uriel Ngozi Oputa, revealed how many times she entered for the Big Brother Africa reality show and how she failed each time.
“I auditioned for Big brother Africa two years in roll bk to bk, got to the finals in SA and they didnt take me!!! I remember crying after being rejected because i was so sure i was getting into the house,” she says today, adding, “plus i borrowed money from my brothers to buy dress and i made a new wig!!”
She continued, saying she felt so much shame, especially because her friends were realising their dreams. “It just wasn’t my time.“
Luck would shine on her last year; the Imo State-born star eventually got into the Big Brother Nigeria house, and though she was evicted earlier in the game, she is finally realising her dreams.
Weeks ago, Oguta threw a homecoming party for the BBN star, and she would be welcomed by the king. A day later, the state governor declared her an ambassador.
Now, Uriel is gracing covers and can boldly tell her success story.
