Travis Scott was reportedly arrested Saturday night for inciting a riot during a live performance in Rogers, Arkansas, Billboard is reporting.
According to the media house, the top rap act was bundled away by law enforcement agents and booked for inciting a riot after his concert became chaotic. He was booked for endangering the welfare of a minor and disorderly conduct.
A quick check of the scene at the concert during that led to the rapper’s arrest shows excited fans bumping as he performed, and this stirred major conversations on social media, especially among the fans of the rapper, that the arrest was unfair.
“How is this a riot? He’s not doing anything to incite the crowd besides performing (which is what he was paid to do ) and I don’t see anyone fighting or knocking down barriers either,” asked one fan. Another added, “Where is the riot?”
Travis Scott was later released at almost midnight without bail, but will return to Arkansas for a court date.
Billboard adds that this is not the first time the ex-boyfriend of singer Rihanna, who reportedly is now dating Kylie Jenner, would be arrested during a performance.
In 2015, he was accused of encouraging fans to jump over security barricades during his set at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Now, he is heading to court and fans don’t know how this will turn out.
