Phyno Finally Reacts to Claims That American Singer Pia Mia Stole His Song

Finally, Phyno has reacted to the trending social media controversy over his song ‘I’m a Fan’.

In case you missed it, Nigerians took to social media to vent shortly after they learned of singer Pai Mia’s song ‘I’m a Fan‘, accusing the American singer of stealing Phyno’s idea.

Phyno had dropped his version in 2016, featuring Mr Eazi and DeCarlo, while Pia featured Jeremih in a version released days ago on various platform. As expected, folks asserted that the Nigerian star whose version came first was the true owner of the song, and, in true Naija fashion, they called out Pia Mia.

While the drama raged, Pulse, an online newspaper, published a report, citing sources who alleged that Phyno may not be the true owner of the song in contention. This report  obviously upset the ‘Ezege’ rapper, because moments ago, he took to his Twitter page to reply the media house, while assuring fans that he will respond to the controversy itself in due time.
