Shatta Michy, the wife of Ghanaian dancehall king Shatta Wale, has just lost her business place over an unresolved land dispute.
According to Modern Ghana, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) stormed the business place yesterday with their team and security personnel. Speaking with the press, the Metropolitan chief said the agency ordered the police to investigate the land dispute claims, and reports proved that Shatta Michy, owner of the Diamond Pub building, “had no proper documents covering the land and hence had no building permit to the pub.”
Modern Ghana adds that when the pub was launched, it stirred major drama especially after the country’s top acts, including Ara B, mocked Shatta Wale for gifting his wife what they termed a “container pub”. For a singer who had a lot of cash to throw around, they expected Wale to gift his wife a classy business place and not a street side shack on a land that was embroiled in dispute.
Now, the metropolitan agency has shut the business place down, and we wonder how Michy feels about this.
