Safaree may star on Love & Hip Hop, but right now the first thing that comes to mind when you hear his name isn’t his music or his reality career. Because everyone’s heard that Meek Mill’s crew gave Safaree Samuels an epic beatdown outside of DJ Khaled’s BET Awards party.
Safaree was recently spotted by HipHopDX at TCL Chinese Theaters in West Hollywood. At first, he was all about promoting his new single, “Paradise.” “My new single, ‘Paradise,’ it’s with Sean Kingston. Listen to that, it’s on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal all that. ‘Bout to go shoot the video in Jamaica.”
When the subject of Meek Mill was brought up, the rapper kept his response short and sweet. “Fvvk him. He’s a coward. That’s it,” he said before walking off.
Evidently, the comments stem from Safaree being on the receiving end of an assault on June 23 during BET Awards weekend. The incident, which was caught on video, shows two men roughing Safaree up just after Meek Mill exits an SUV. Before and after the release of the clip, Safaree maintained Meek Mill orchestrated the assault.
