Acting President Yemi Osibajo will, on Friday, visit Akure, capital of Ondo State.
In Akure, the acting president will commission the International Event Centre, also known as The Dome, built by Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s administration.
Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, in a statement, said Osinbajo will also commission the Aboto water scheme in Ilaje.
He said although Ilaje people live on water, the launch of the water scheme will make it the first time in history for the people to enjoy treated water.
Akinmade said necessary arrangements have been made towards inauguration of The Dome by Osinbajo and added that the structure has three oval domes with the hall in each of the dome capable of sitting 5, 000 guests and three events, simultaneously.
The dome, Akinmade said, also has a complementary event hall and has the capacity to sit 3, 000 people, with syndicate room stores.
The structure, according to him, consists of three linked concrete platforms standing on an array of reinforced concrete columns and beams.
