Braless Laverne Cox is traffic stopping as she hails a taxi in New York City

She is a superstar of the stage and the screen, known best for her role as Sophia on Orange Is The New Black.

But on Tuesday in NYC, Laverne Cox was just like any other girl on the street looking for a cab in a busy city.

The 33-year-old actress was seen valiantly trying to hail a taxi in the Big Apple.

Cox was dressed casually for her Tuesday outing, sporting a long-sleeved navy blue top with short shorts.

She wore fishnet stockings on her legs and a pair of comfy gray flats as she navigated the city on foot.

An expensive Hermes bag graced her shoulder while she waited for her transportation.

The usually-glam Laverne looked to be makeup-free, wearing a pair of very large sunglasses to go incognito.

She has spent the last few days celebrating the return of her hit Netflix series Orange Is The New Black for it’s fifth season.

On Friday night, the same day that OITNB was released on Netflix, she attended a premiere party with her co-stars at Catch NYC.
