A beautiful Nigerian-born lady Funke Abimbola has made her country proud as she was received a prestigious honour by Queen Elizabeth II.
Abimbola was given the honour of becoming a Member of the Order to the British Empire (MBE) on Saturday, June 17, in England.
She was awarded by the British monarch as her name was added in the Queens 91st birthday honours list for 2017.
The 44-year-old woman took to her Twitter handle to share the good news by posting her picture with the caption: “Proud to be awarded #MBE in Queen’s 2017 #birthdayhonours! Read more at

According to Pulse Abimbola is a solicitor, compliance professional and senior leader for one’s of the world’s largest biotech company. She was also reported to be the most senior black lawyers working in UK.
However, in 2016 newly honoured Abimbola was also presented with the Point of Light award by the UK prime minister for the impact in her voluntary diversity work.
