Brothel Owners in Imo Set Up Task Force To Regulate Prostitution

Brothel owners in Imo State have raised a task force to regulate prostitution in the state and stop non-registered commercial s3x workers from operating.

The brothel owners under the aegis of the National Association of Brothel Owners (NABO), Imo State chapter, said the task force will help combat human trafficking, the Punch reports.

NABO Chairman, Stanley Nwachukwu, said those found engaging in prostitution will be handed over to the police for prosecution. He also said the task force will check the use of and sale of hard drugs in and around brothels.

“I will ensure that adequate fines are paid by such brothel owners whose inmates engage in fisticuffs. I urge every brothel owner to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding against coming into brothels with arms and ammunition,” he said.

He said his association has helped to reduce rape and s3xual abuse of children. he said cases of s3x crime would be high if brothels were not operating in the state.

“Rape would have been happening even in churches if brothels were not in existence in the state. There are men whose libido compels them to have s3xual intercourse regularly to the point that they cannot pass a night without sleeping with a woman,” Nwachukwu stated.
