At least 400 Juventus fans sustained injuries Saturday night following a bomb scare at a centre in Turin, Italy where they had gathered to watch the team’s Champions League final match with Spain’s Real Madrid.
Italian media reports that 5 of the 400 including, a 7-year-old boy who was trampled during the ensuing stampede, were seriously injured.
Thousands of Juventus fans were said to have gathered in front of a giant screen in San Carlo Square in Turin where the incident occurred.
Footage from the square shows a sudden rush in the middle of the crowd halfway into the champions league final which was followed by a surge that flung people against barriers. Many fans then began to run out of the square, screaming in fear.

The Italian side would go on to lose the match to a rampaging Real Madrid powered byCristiano Ronaldo’s brace for a record 12th Champions League title.
One eyewitness said the panic may have been started by the explosion of a loud firecracker that was mistaken for a bomb.
As things settled, many of the Juventus fans at the square were seen limping and searching desperately for friends and relatives, while shoes and bags littered the ground.
According to Reuters, the Italian police has set up an information point to help people find their loved ones while also investigating the bomb scare.
