Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana Face Off in Divorce Court

The divorce process between Janet Jackson and her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana has started, E! News is reporting.

Yesterday, the duo appeared in the Royal Courts of Justice in London to begin their divorce proceedings, but the media was not allowed inside to capture details of the proceeding.

Speaking to E! News, a source said the exes had a private meeting with Justice Anna Pauffley at around 10 a.m. At about 4:10pm, Al Mana exited, looking sombre. And 20 minutes later, Jackson exited with an entourage of assistants and legal team.

Jackson and Al Mana tied the knot in 2012 in an intimate ceremony with family and friends present. In 2016, the singer put her Unbreakable world tour on hold after revealing to fans that she and her hubby were trying to have a baby.

Days after her son’s birth, there were breakup rumours trailing the couple after Janet was spotted in public without her wedding ring. The couple later confirmed that they were over three months later.

The couple never shared why they decided to call it quits, but a source speaking with E! News said it was due to a disagreement over how they would raise their son Eissa Al Mana.

Hopefully, the proceedings will be without messy drama.
